About
One person, a few weeks a year, mostly above the tree line.
I started writing these up after realising that my memory of a walk lasts about four months and then flattens into "it was good". The route cards exist so that the next person planning the same section — usually me, three years later — gets the details that guidebooks leave out.
What is here and what is not
Distances come from my own track, rounded. Times are walking times for someone unremarkable carrying a week of food. I do not publish exact camp coordinates: the good spots stay good partly because they are not on a list.
The site
Static HTML written by hand. No trackers, no comments, no fonts fetched from other servers. If a route changes — a bridge washed out, a hut closed — I edit the page and note the date.
